It is a sad fact of today’s world that many bits and pieces of valuable information on various subjects, especially in paper form or on personal computers, are being lost.
However, there is also a concerted effort by many parties to capture this information and make it available in various digitised forms.
Montagu Museum recognises the importance of the internet as a tool to preserve material of historical significance. The Museum’s website now features a new page, called Montagu Stories, that hosts articles about the history of Montagu and the surrounding areas.
If you have a story to tell or pictures to share, pertaining to the history of Montagu, we invite you to share this information with the Museum. All information will be integrated into articles that are published on Montagu Stories. The Museum will gratefully acknowledge all contributions.
The success and future of the webpage depends on the involvement of the public. The Museum’s team of researchers is ready to assist with the collection of information, while the Friends of the Montagu Museum will assist with the final editing and formatting for publication on the website.
