Situated only 3 kilometres outside of Montagu, this is the family getaway you have been looking for! We strive to bring together like-minded people who enjoy the outdoors. Activities include fishing, canoeing/paddle boats, hiking, 4×4, mountain biking and our very own mashie golf course! Activities are included so no need to pay extra for everything.

Just because you spend most of your time outside, does not mean you can’t stay fresh. Our ablution facilities are maintained at high standards for your comfort.

Please note that our dam is wonderfully full now so do bring life jackets for those kids that can’t swim. Do not dive into the dam as we aren’t sure what the floods brought down with all the water, you are welcome to swim in the dam. Now offering a heated kiddie pool and a heated adult pool. Our 5 swimming pools are great to swim in as we use borehole water to keep things fresh.

Doringlaagte now boasts fifteen self-catering chalets, all bordering our dam. The good news is you need to pack very little when you visit, as most items like bedding and towels are provided. Driving Directions

As you enter Montagu from Ashton, continue driving through the town cross the bridge as if you are heading to Barrydale. Take your very first left which will be “Talana Road”. You should also see a sign for Doringlaagte. Travel exactly 2.8 kms and turn right into Doringlaagte.
