The KFM 94.5 “Best of the Cape awards” is a great initiative. It gives everyone a chance to vote for their favourite businesses, from small attractions to an entire town. What follows for the winner of each category, is fantastic online and radio exposure valued at thousands.
The KFM radio station asked their listeners to nominate their top picks for the best of the best across 30 categories. 150 finalists were chosen representing the best sights, the best tastes and the best experiences our province has to offer. Now the Cape has spoken and their 1 million listeners have decided who are certifiably The Best of the Cape.
Montagu, was a finalist amongst some tough competition namely Paternoster, Robertson, Oudtshoorn and Hermanus. Considering the difference in population of these towns, Montagu, with its mere 18,000 inhabitants, rallied its troops and started voting for this much loved small town. On 3 September 2021, just before 3pm, it was announced, Montagu is the winner! Congratulations Montagu. Do you need any more reasons to visit our little dorpie?
