The accommodation arrangement is open plan, except for the bathroom which closes off from the main bedroom.Beds are double beds, fitted with electric blankets for winter. Due to our extreme temperatures in Montagu we have aircon in both units, as well as fans should that be your preference.
Each kitchenette is equipped with all crockery and cutlery, a microwave, oven and two cooker plates, bar fridge, toaster and kettle.
Bathrooms have showers only, toilet and basin.
The lounge area has a comfortable couch, coffee table and two armchairs.
The lovely verandas/stoeps look onto a charming shady garden, and has a table and chairs suitable for al fresco dining.
We offer secure off street parking.
The charming village of Montagu is walking distance from New Song – 600m takes you into the village and its fine dining restaurants, coffee shops and quaint pizza joint. Both museums, including our famous indigenous herb museum, are within easy walking distance.
The nearest hiking challenge starts 180m from our property, and most hiking trails are easily accessible from New Song.
ROUTE DESCRIPTION
From Swellendam, Robertson, Ashton – keep on the R62 through Cogmanskloof – take the FIRST ROAD RIGHT before entering the town : MONTAGU SOUTH, VAN RIEBEECK STREET, TO 16A.From Barrydale – Long Street takes you into town. Continue to Church Street and turn left. At the first stop turn right – 4th house on the left is New Song.
