Chefs Juan Fourie and Samantha Morris-Fourie are the husband and wife team spear heading Kapokbos Restaurant.
Having worked in some of Johannesburg’s finest establishments the dynamic duo opened a personal chef company which they ran for more than 10 years, working in and visting exotic locations such as Morocco, Switzerland, Peru, Kalahari etc.
In 2016 Juan & Sam got married on a near by farm in Bonnievale where they fell in love with the valley and after years of being nomads decided to put down roots in the Bonnievale area just like the Kapokbos (Wild Rosemary).
Inspired by the herb Kapokbos (Snow bush) a.k.a. wild rosemary which is found in the koppies on the farm, Kapokbos Restaurant focuses on fresh local ingredients, influenced by the seasons to create contemporary country cuisine. The menu is ever changing and new dishes are always up to steal the show so that guests can explore something different. Casual dining, with exceptional wines.
