Elizabeth’s Cottage

‘Bonheur” (means happiness) and is a lovely Victorian town house with a high-pitched roof and cast-iron embellishments (“broekielace”) over the veranda.  Connoisseurs estimate that the front door is more than 50 years older than the house.

One of the oldest homes in beautiful Montagu and forms part of the historical walk.  It is situated on the corner of Long & Church streets, making it very central to walk to almost everywhere central.  Fully furnished & equipped kitchen & bathrooms.  Rooms are not rented out individually.

Checking in between 14:00 – 19:00 unless otherwise arranged.

Check out latest 11:00 unless otherwise arranged.

Children under 12 are welcome by prior arrangement.

Pets by prior arrangement & at the owner’s discretion.  There is a once off pets levy of R120 per dog.

No credit card facility. 50% deposit on booking:  EFT or cash.

Rates

R2 000 for the house per night (sleeps 4. Both beds are queen extra length) with a single bed in the 3^rd room/study as well.  

Minimum stay of 2 nights required.
