The West Coast and Cederburg Route

Crayfish, Flowers, Citrus, Rock Art, Rooibos tea and Wine. The West Coast is a drier area bordering on the cold Atlantic Ocean where whales and dolphins can often be seen. During the months of August and September the landscape emerges in a riot of colour as the spring flowers bloom after the winter rains. Leaving Cape Town, take the R27 to Velddrif.

Route 62

The scenic ‘Route 62’ is the historical road that passes from Ceres (the fruit area at the foot of the Cederberg Mountains) to Worcester and Robertson through the Breede River Valley and the Klein Karoo. It used to be the main link between Port Elizabeth and Cape Town before the N2 Highway was built in I958.

Four Passes and Winelands Route

Food, wine and history. The Cape Wine lands stretches over four different ‘wine of origin’ regions. The Coastal Region (Cape Town, Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschhoek, Riebeek Valley and Tulbagh) the Oliphants Region up the West Coast, the Overberg Region along the south coast famous for its whales and then the Breede River Valley and the Klein Karoo Regions along the famous “Route 62″

Garden Route

Forests, beaches, birds, golf and sailing the spectacular Garden Route is known as ‘the Eden of South Africa’ thanks to the lush vegetation. A rugged coastline, indigenous forests, waterfalls and long beaches of white sand are found all along the route.

Sunshine coast and Addo Route

Northern Cape Route

The intriguingly charming region of the Northern Cape Route is the perfect place to unwind, gaze at the stars, explore the desert dunes, listen to the birds, track down the Shy Five and meet the locals in little towns that are rich in history and culture.
