GROW Staff Training Workshop

17 July 2013

The GROW Skills Development Project (a joint initiative of the Montagu-Ashton Tourism Association and the Breederiver Winelands Rotary Club) held the first of the “Service Excellence” Training Workshops at the Montagu Country Hotel on the 17th July 2013.
Because of the collaborative input by both organisations as well as the services of experienced workshop presenters who have volunteered their skills and knowledge at no cost, the GROW Skills Training Project is able to offer the training FREE of charge to both staff and owners of businesses. A big thank you must also be extended to the Cape Winelands Municipality who has been offering financial support to this project for the 3rd year running.

Initially these workshops are aimed at and for the benefit of Hospitality Industry employees, the aim is plan to expand it to include Front of House Staff, Telephonists, Sales Staff, Petrol Attendants, etc., so that we can collectively offer a more polished ‘Montagu-package’ to our community and visitors alike.
On completion of the one-day course, the Employees are presented with a Certificate of Attendance.

Judging from the feedback received from many of those who attended the first workshop, it appears that not only was a lot of new information gleaned, but that a fun day was had by all the delegates and presenters alike!
