Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve is a privately owned nature reserve situated in a beautiful part of the Montagu district in the Klein Karoo. A variety of affordable, self-catering accommodation is available on Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve, with four guest houses and one dormitory style group accommodation. All the units are family friendly and equipped with basic amenities. A wide variety of outdoor activities are on offer for guests of all ages to enjoy. Day visitors are welcome on the reserve by prior appointment and may partake in all daytime activities on offer. For self-drives, we only recommend 4x4 or high clearance vehicles.

Route Description

From Cape Town: Take N1 out of Cape Town towards Paarl. Stay on N1 past Worcester and De Doorns. Go through Hex River Pass. After roughly 4kms turn right onto R318 in the direction of Montagu. Travel along the R318 until you see a signboard saying Nougaspoort on your left. Turn left and travel along the dirt road for 17km. Look out for white walled entrance gates to Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve on your right.
From Montagu: Take the R318 out of Montagu. Follow this road through the Keisie, the Koo and up Rooihoogte pass. Shortly after the pass, turn right onto the gravel road marked with a Nougaspoort signboard. Follow this road for 17km and turn right at our white walled entrance gate to Drie Kuilen Nature Reserve.
